At Abundant Natural Health, we are passionate about harnessing the power of nature to help people live healthier lives free of pain, disease, and illness.
What you may not realise is that for six years Abundant Natural Health was a plant-breeding company. As in Paul Kelly’s famous 1991 hit ‘From Little Things Big Things Grow’, Abundant Natural Health grew from cucumber and tomato seeds, producing juicy cucumbers and sweet tomatoes.
During the process of creating quality seeds at our greenhouses on a Sydney University campus, we were left with lots of cucumber pulp and fleshy tomato skins. Being environmentally conscious, we couldn’t waste any part of the plant, knowing the incredible benefits of cucumber juice for the skin. Our scientists partnered with the University of New South Wales to create specialised skin care formulations from the valuable plant matter.
Around this time, we were introduced to a company called EcoMag, which specialises in Magnesium. Deriving their products from a discarded stream in Western Australia, they operate on the principle of a ‘circular economy’ and are committed to minimising their environmental footprint. In addition, EcoMag recovers minerals not found in mined magnesium. This was a company we could really get behind!
It was the combination of these two streams and our passion for innovative, science-based solutions which lead to the company we know and love today.
